Three teenagers have died in separate incidents at beauty spots across England as temperatures reached record highs on Bank Holiday Monday. The victims, two teenage boys and a teenage girl, were all rescued from open water but didn't survive.

South Yorkshire Police were called to the park at 18:50 BST. They were called to reports that a teenage boy had entered the water and hadn't been seen getting out. Police officers took part in a specialist search operation. Crews from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service also took part. The boy's body was found in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Declan's father, Carl Sawyer, said his son was "very much loved by his friends and family, and will be missed dearly by many". He added: "With his tragic and unexpected passing on Sunday at Swanholme Lakes, we would like to raise awareness about children playing near any rivers or lakes in the hot weather. Please can all parents, friends and family make their children aware of the dangers surrounding water." He said this to warn others. Carl Sawyer wants people to be aware of the risks.
